Description

A refreshing Mexican cocktail made with beer, lime juice, assorted sauces, spices, and chili pepper.

History

The Michelada originated in Mexico and is said to have been created in the 1940s as a variation of the classic Bloody Mary, substituting beer for vodka to create a lighter and more refreshing drink.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Rim the pint glass with lime juice and dip it into salt to create a salted rim.
Step 2.
- In the glass, squeeze the juice from half a lime and add the hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
Step 3.
- Add a few dashes of Maggi seasoning sauce (optional) and a pinch of black pepper and chili powder.
Step 4.
- Pour in the cold beer slowly to avoid too much foam.
Step 5.
- Stir gently with a straw or spoon to combine the ingredients without losing the carbonation.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim.
