Mint Julep (Virginia) 1803
A refreshing Southern classic with a delightful mint aroma, served over crushed ice and known for its cooling properties on hot days.
Instructions
- Muddle fresh mint leaves with sugar in the bottom of a Julep cup.
- Fill the cup with crushed ice.
- Pour the bourbon over the ice.
- Stir gently to combine and chill the drink.
- Top with more crushed ice, creating a small mound on top.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
