The Pousse Café has roots in French culture, dating back to the 19th century, known for its visually appealing layers which represent the harmony of flavors.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Prepare the highball glass by chilling it in the freezer for a few minutes.
Step 2.
- Carefully pour the grenadine into the bottom of the chilled glass, creating the first layer.
Step 3.
- Slowly pour the orange juice over the back of a spoon to create a second layer on top of the grenadine.
Step 4.
- Next, gently layer the blue curaçao by pouring it very slowly over the spoon.
Step 5.
- Finish with a layer of peach schnapps on top, again using the spoon to prevent mixing the layers.
