The Sake Martini Mint emerged in the early 2000s as mixologists began to explore the versatility of sake beyond traditional pairings, highlighting its compatibility with familiar cocktail flavors.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a shaker, add 3 oz of sake and the juice of half a lime.
Step 3.
- Add 5 fresh mint leaves into the shaker.
Step 4.
- Muddle the mint leaves gently to release their oils.
Step 5.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15 seconds.
Step 6.
- Empty the ice water from the chilled martini glass.
Step 7.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.
Step 8.
- Garnish with a fresh sprig of mint.
