Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a mixing glass, combine 2 ounces of Scotch whisky, 3/4 ounce of sweet vermouth, and 1/4 ounce of absinthe.
Step 3.
- Add ice to the mixing glass and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
Step 4.
- Discard the ice water from the coupe glass and strain the mixture into the glass.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a twist of lemon peel, expressing the oils over the drink before placing it in.
