Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of Scotch whisky, 1 oz of simple syrup, and 1 whole egg.
Step 3.
- Dry shake (no ice) vigorously for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg.
Step 4.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds until well chilled.
Step 5.
- Double strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass to remove any egg solids.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a light dusting of grated nutmeg on top.
