Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water while preparing.
Step 2.
- In a mixing glass, combine 2 ounces of Scotch whisky, 0.5 ounces of sweet vermouth, and 0.5 ounces of yellow Chartreuse.
Step 3.
- Add ice to the mixing glass and stir well until the mixture is well chilled and diluted.
Step 4.
- Discard the ice or water from the pre-chilled coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.
Step 6.
- Garnish with an orange twist, expressing the oils over the drink before placing it on top.
