Step 1.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Scotch whisky, 1 oz of simple syrup, 1 whole egg, and a dash of smoked bitters.
Step 2.
- Dry shake (without ice) the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg.
Step 3.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds until well chilled.
Step 4.
- Double strain into a pre-chilled coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Garnish with grated nutmeg on top.
