A twist on the classic mint julep, this cocktail incorporates the rich, peaty flavors of Scotch whisky with fresh mint and a smoky finish.
Instructions
- Muddle fresh mint leaves and simple syrup in a julep cup until fragrant.
- Fill the cup with crushed ice, almost to the top.
- Pour in the Scotch whisky and stir gently to combine.
- Top off with more crushed ice to create a mound.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a dash of smoky bitters if desired.
