Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice and water.
Step 2.
- In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of Scotch whisky, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
Step 3.
- Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
Step 4.
- Discard the ice water from the chilled coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.
