Sherry Sazerac
A twist on the classic Sazerac, this cocktail features the rich, nutty flavors of sherry, complemented by aromatic bitters and a hint of absinthe.
Instructions
- Chill an Old Fashioned glass by filling it with ice water.
- In a separate mixing glass, add 2 oz of Fino sherry and 1 dash of Peychaud's bitters.
- Add ice to the mixing glass and stir the mixture until well chilled.
- Discard the ice water from the chilled Old Fashioned glass.
- Add a few drops of absinthe to the glass, swirling it to coat the inside.
- Strain the sherry mixture into the prepared glass.
- Express the oils from a lemon twist over the drink and drop it into the glass as garnish.
