- Fill a shaker with ice.

- Add 2 oz of aged rum, 3/4 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 oz of simple syrup to the shaker.

- Using a smoking gun, infuse the cocktail with a light smoke from wood chips for a few seconds.

- Garnish with a twist of orange peel, expressing the oils over the drink before placing it on the rim.
