Instructions
- Pour the tequila into a mixing glass.
- Add the orange liqueur and lime juice to the mixing glass.
- Stir the mixture gently until well combined and chilled.
- Strain the mixture into a barrel or small oak cask for aging.
- Allow to age for at least 2 weeks, turning occasionally to ensure even exposure to the wood.
- After aging, remove the cocktail from the barrel and strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wheel and a sprig of fresh thyme.
