Tom and Jerry 1821
A warm, frothy, and spiced holiday drink made with a rich batter and hot milk or water, perfect for winter evenings.
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine 2 egg whites and beat until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, mix together 2 egg yolks, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Gradually fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture to create a batter.
- Stir in 1 cup of dark rum and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- To serve, fill a mug halfway with hot milk or water.
- Spoon the batter on top, filling the mug nearly to the brim, then stir gently.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg and a cinnamon stick before serving.
